Like to spend some time on the water but want to leave the driving and navigating to someone else? Why not take day trip to one of the many islands in and around Rhode Island? All are fast and easy to get to by ferry. You can visit Block Island, Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, Prudence Island, even Conanicut Island / Jamestown and Newport are technically islands although those can be access via the areas wonderful system of bridges.
